Warranty

Curtis Industries, LLC (“Curtis”) warranty policy warrants to the original purchaser that Curtis products will be free from defective materials and workmanship, for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.

STATEMENT

Curtis Industries will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, the defective product. Curtis may require the return of the defective product. All returns require a Returned Material Authorization (“RMA”) number.

Any warranty repair work must first be approved by Curtis before performing any work. Curtis reserves the right to replace a defective product at its sole discretion. Curtis will not reimburse customers for replacement parts that were not authorized before installation. Warranty claims for repair work will be calculated at the standard rate set by Curtis Industries.

ITEMS NOT COVERED UNDER ORIGINAL WARRANTY:

This limited warranty does not cover the following:

  1. Expendable parts such as, but not limited to, hoses, skid shoes, cutting edges, pins, nuts bolts, blade guides, wipers, etc.
  2. Any product has been subject to misuse, neglect, accident, or improper installation, maintenance, care, or storage.
  3. Curtis does not assume any liability for vehicle/tractor damage resulting from the attachment or use of a Curtis product.
  4. Diagnostics of the potential failure.
  5. Travel time incurred to and from dealers or suppliers.
  6. Problems caused by failure to follow product instructions, and failure to maintain the product as described in the owner’s manual.
  7. Contamination or restriction of lubricant systems, or damage resulting from rust, corrosion, freezing, or overheating caused problems.
  8. Issues that are caused by accessories and parts that are not supplied by Curtis Industries.
  9. Cost of tax, freight to/from dealers, storage charges, environmental charges, solvents, sealants, lubricants, or any other normal shop supplies.
  10. Damage caused by parts not used in accordance with their intended purpose.
  1. Complete all Customer / Equipment Information on the Online Warranty Claim Form (see link below).
  2. Diagnose the problem, determine corrective action to be taken, and document:
    • Failure mode
    • Cause
    • Corrective Action
    • Parts needed for replacement (Part numbers)
  3. Parts to be submitted for warranty consideration: Parts required to complete the repair must be ordered through Curtis customer service.
    • If parts are needed to complete the repair, order them with the normal ordering process. Parts will be shipped and charged to your account with a credit issued when the claim is approved.
    • Submit and identify any labor to be submitted for warranty consideration.
  4. Parts replaced for the repair must be kept at the distributor, or dealer location for a period of 90 days, identified by the equipment serial numbers.
    • All Hydraulic Pumps, Cylinders, Wiper motors, Heaters, Electronic parts, etc. must be returned to Curtis Ind. LLC for warranty credits, an RMA will be issued on a monthly basis.
    • All non-conforming sheet metal; welded parts will require pictures of the defect.
  5. Curtis may, within a 90-day period, request any parts be returned for examination before approval of the warranty claim. If Curtis requests parts be returned, an RMA will be issued. Failure to return requested parts within 30 days will result in the warranty claim being denied.

  7. Parts returned should be returned by transportation Freight Collect. Do not return parts unless requested to do so by Curtis. Once the repairs have been completed, review the Online Claim Form for accuracy and completeness and submit the form to Curtis Industries, LLC. Missing or inaccurate information will delay the processing and crediting of your account for parts and labor.
